Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Rootbase collects and how we use it.

1. What we collect

Account data: when you sign in, our auth provider Clerk stores your email and basic profile. Submitted URLs: the website links you scan. Public business content: text from the public pages of scanned websites, used to build profiles. Basic logs: IP and request metadata for security and abuse prevention.

2. What we do not collect

Profiles are about companies, not individuals. We do not intentionally collect personal data of private people, and we do not store your payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by Whop.

3. Service providers

We share data only with providers needed to run the Service: Clerk (authentication), Whop (payments), Neon (database), Anthropic (AI processing of public web content), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data under its own terms.

4. Cookies

We use a cookie to remember your language preference and cookies set by Clerk for your login session. We do not use advertising cookies.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep profiles while they are listed in the directory. To delete your account or remove a company profile, contact us at hello@rootbase.space and we will act within a reasonable time.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing hello@rootbase.space.
