By using Rootbase (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Rootbase is

Rootbase reads publicly available content from a company's website and turns it into a structured, source attributed business profile that is listed in a public directory and can be queried by AI agents via API and MCP. Rootbase does not host or replace your website.

2. AI generated content

Profiles are generated automatically by AI from public web content and may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Do not rely on a profile as the sole basis for any decision. Every fact links to its source so it can be verified.

3. Payments

Scanning a website and adding it to the directory requires a one time payment of $5 USD, processed by our payment provider Whop. Because a scan consumes compute immediately, payments are non refundable once the scan has run, except where required by law. If a scan fails, you may retry it at no additional cost.

4. Claiming and corrections

A company owner may claim a profile by verifying control of the domain. Claiming lets you request corrections. To request removal of your company from the directory, contact us at hello@rootbase.space and we will remove it within a reasonable time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to scan websites you have no legitimate interest in, to overload the Service, to reverse engineer it, or for any unlawful purpose. We respect robots directives and reasonable rate limits.

6. Intellectual property

Company names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and reference only. Rootbase claims no ownership over the underlying business information, which originates from public sources.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rootbase is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on generated profiles. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
